The HFP fuel pump comes with two different intake filters. A side mount and a bottom mount. Only the bottom mount works with the fuel pump housing on the EXC, XC-W, & XCs. If you are careful you can remove the stock filter mount and filter from the stock fuel pump and possibly reuse it if you'd like. I decided to go with the HFP intake filter

My current stable consists of two, and I think I've finally come up with the perfect pair for me, a SDGT and the 500 EXC-F. Clean your screens, toss your old filters and put in the oil of your choice (that meets the KTM spec.) The first oil change has a lot of debris, due to the engine "lapping" itself into service. This is the ferrous material you see on your magnetic plug.

Pump the clutch handle a few times, keep it in and open the air nipple. Keep on doing this until you get the clutch fluid squirting out. Also check the fluid level in the clutch master. You have brake fluid in that one. Use dot 4 or dot 5.1. Come back if this does not solve the issue and we dig deeper.

Planning on light adventure riding with it as well. Mods: GET ecu, reed removal, billet end cap, take two mirrors, tusk rack, fender eliminator with Tail Tidy LED. Read and compare owner reviews & ratings of KTM 500 EXC-F 2022. Vehicle specs, photos & video, pricing, and more!
KTM said to have a dealer physically look at the bike, then call them and send off paperwork to maybe help out on the part that failed. Even if they did for anything (which is a 1% chance they would. It would have probably only been for the $85 or so, in oil pump parts.
